Our Credentials
Practical Life Visitations is an approved Supervised Visitation Monitor provider on the Riverside Superior Court referral list. Our virtual visitation services meet the standards required for court-ordered supervised visitation, conducted entirely by secure video.
Compliance with Standard 5.20
Practical Life Visitations operates in full compliance with Standard 5.20 of the California Standards of Judicial Administration — officially titled the Uniform Standards of Practice for Providers of Supervised Visitation and Exchange Services, adopted by the California Judicial Council under Family Code sections 3200 and 3200.5. While the standard covers both visitation and exchange services, Practical Life Visitations provides supervised visitation only, conducted entirely by secure video.
This means our practice follows the state's official framework for:
- Provider qualifications, training, and background clearance requirements
- Written policies and procedures, provided to all parties before services begin
- Proper conduct of virtual visitation, as defined under Family Code section 3100
- Objective intake, documentation, and reporting procedures
- Established protocols for child safety, including emergency and abduction-prevention procedures
Because Standard 5.20 applies to both in-person and virtual supervised visitation, our secure Zoom-based sessions are held to the same rigorous standard as in-person visits.
Our Approach
Every session is conducted with professionalism, neutrality, and the wellbeing of the child as the top priority. Monitors are trained to:
- Observe and document objectively, without personal bias
- De-escalate conflict calmly and safely
- Follow all court-ordered conditions precisely
- Maintain a consistent, predictable structure that helps children feel safe
Security Measures
- Virtual sessions are conducted via secure, access-controlled video platforms
- Session documentation is stored securely and access is limited to authorized parties only
- All monitors complete background screening and ongoing training
Reporting & Documentation
Following each session, detailed, objective session reports are prepared and made available to the court and authorized parties as required. Reports reflect only what was directly observed, in clear, factual, and objective professional language.
